Charter Issues Yesterday

In the morning severe weather in New York City took out the satellite uplink for Viacom stations (MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, HBO, Showtime, and CineMax). It was only for about an hour and the stations were back by 9:30 AM.

And a construction company cut a fiber bundle near Allendale, MI. This resulted in Internet traffic getting crammed onto a backup path. You may have noticed web sites seemed a little slower but I did not notice anything significant.
